Welcome, The Cobra Replica Club was formed in May 1988 and now has over 1200 members who either own or are building a 427 Cobra Replica, 289 or Daytona Cobras.

The Cobra Replica Club is dedicated to the AC Cobra Replica Marque, comprising the Shelby Cobra and the 289. The Cobra Replica Club site has a whole host of great information and a very active forum for members and enthusiasts.

We remind you that the content published on the Cobra Replica Club Website is only a partial picture of the full magazine, notably that all feature articles are not published on the site. For the full story, subscribe to the magazine and club.

Membership is split between Cobra Replica owners, people who are currently building a cobra and those who are just interested in the cobra marque. The overall aim of the Cobra Replica Club is to give moral, and hopefully technical support to builders and owners, organising car show attendances, social events (monthly area meetings) group holidays and whatever members are prepared to organise on a voluntary basis. Membership of the Cobra Replica Club entitles you to receive the club magazine Snake Torque, and also vote at meetings (as long as the voting form has been returned). The magazine is considered one of the better club magazines with lots of interesting technical articles, social events, area reps reports and a very useful boot sale of cars and parts. A screen sticker (subject to availability) and a membership card are also issued throughout the year.

We have a wide range of sections within the club site, but to use all of them you will need to register. Registration on the club site is free, however we would suggest you join up to receive the magazine as well.

Joining up online is easy, just click here and select you membership and you will be taken to Worldpay for secure payment. You will need to be logged in and/or registered to join up.

Fair point! Just curious but did you ever cost up a second hand rebored 4.6 block from one of the rover specialists rather than have a damaged block re-linered?

To be fair, it was £1,100 with a few extra bits and two lots of pallet carrier - opted for Turners as it was a mechanical crack to fix, not a heat crack
