Hi All
This got me thinking I had done it wrong.
I have just spoken to a friend who used to work at weighbridge building GT40s next door to AC Cars.
He said the louvers should deffently point towards the rear as the air rushing down the side of the car will cause a depression and reduction in air pressure around the vents. This will draw the hot air out of the engine and encourage cold air to come in from the front.

Rear Front --------- Air direction

The above is a veiw looking down on top off the car with the air hitting the front of it as you drive forward. the open side of the louvers should face backwards to cause the depression and reduction in air pressure.
This is what I believe is correct. If anyone knows more please let us know.
Craig.
