Not meaning to tell you how to cook eggs :angel: but if you have the drill on too high a speed
and it starts to get too hot
this will blunt any drill no matter what make or how much you spend on it
. You need the drill on the slower of 2 speeds if it has 2 speeds, don't apply too much force and just take your time, stopping immediately if it starts to get too hot.
