Correct Electric Fuel pump?

Gents, I have been reading the notes on Fuel pumps in the forum
and am still confused !!!
A brief history.....
After installing my engine (Chevy 350 ci. mild tune 300-350 hp, with mechanical fuel pump) into my kit (RAM 427) I have found that the pump is far too close to the Chassis. I have therefore decided to fit an Electric fuel pump behind the rear bulkhead, in-front of the tank.
I have purchased a Facet Red top 35G/hr, which I believed to be up to the job. But after a trip to the local Engine spares shop I have been told that this will cause problems at the top end due to lack of flow, they have suggested a Holley electric fuel pump at 120G/hr & £120+vat.
Is anyone else running a similar set up with a Facet red top pump and are you having any problems? (ignoring the electrical break downs)
ie
Have I F@<£$d up again or will I get away with it ?

Comments suggestions gladly received.
