If you go to Wilkos, or Tescos, or Halfords and buy a dirt cheap pushbike puncture repair kit, you'll get a tube of rubber solution, easily the best for joing two bits of natural or nitrile rubber (no good for silicone though).
If its good enough for punctures its got to be good enought for door seals?

P.S-Dont forget to rub the finished job with the chalk to stop it sticking to other bits of rubber/the car/your clothes/your hair etc!!
