Login Issues

This is targetted at IE6 users and the new cookie policy within IE6.

Ensure you are logged in by clicking the LOGIN icon in the forum at:
http://www.cobraclub.com/cgi-bin/forum/dcboard.cgi
If you are LOGGED IN, that button will change to LOGOUT
If this does not occur, then you have a cookie or javascript problem.
Common access problems are caused by cookies being incorrectly configured in your browser. Without specific information, here is a list of POSSIBLE causes.

1. Ensure javascript is turned ON.

2. Ensure you have set your security settings to ALWAYS ACCEPT COOKIES. If you are using IE6, you can customise it to accept cookies only from cobraclub.

3. Setting cookies to PROMPT TO ACCEPT does not work.

4. Check your system date and time - including the year. If this is incorrect, your cookie that allows you access will not work. Once you are confident everything is okay, but it still doesn't work, delete all cobraclub cookies from C:WINDOWSCookies or C:WINDOWSProfilesyourname and try again. It may be a corrupted cookie file.

If none of the above works, please email me full browser details including version, any error messages that are being displayed and a cut and paste of the URL's you are accessing.

Thanks

Robert

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.
