| Re: Harness Eye Bolt Problem Its all the fun of building a kit car altering things and adapting them!! Isnt it?
Ive learnt a lot from building my kit. The main one is never do another one!
Ive adjusted this altered that and given up on other things.
I agree with you if you buy something that is purpose made for the job, like inner footwell shiney panels and purpose made headers they should fit.
Not fit the inner panels, try to fit your exhaust then find that there is not enough clearance for the manifold on the shiney things youve just paid a fortune for.
I accept there should be some altreration but lifting your engine by an inch to allow for engine rock and clearance of the manifolds aint right me thinks.
Im not mentioning manufacturer here in light of recent court rulings but I will be dropping them a line when finished to highlight some of the problem areas I have encountered, and advise them of the additional costs I have bourne. If they wish to contribute to those additional costs in light of the info provided I will advise you all.
Maybe I entered into building a kit car with my eyes firmly closed but its certainly opened the bank managers eyes!!
Grumble over applied for SVA today!! Yippee
