Can't remember exactly how to do it and I am sure the guys on here will be much better at advising than I. However, have a look at our website and it may reassure in regard to the length!!

On our T56 there was a splined shaft out the end of the gearbox. Onto that slides the yolk - fitting onto the splines with a flange similar to that on the diff. The yolk slides onto the shaft. To measure we slid the yolk as far on as possible - THEN - withdrew it by approximately 25mm - ie moved the flange of the yolk away from the gearbox towards the diff and then simply measured the distance between the centre of the two flanges (it has to be the centre of the flanges as this will avoid problems with any offset that you might have between gearbox and diff).

Then send these dimensions to a company and they will make the prop for you. However, a couple of words of warning - they will need to know the type of diff flange that you have and they will also need the yolk from the gearbox.

I would also be inclined to use the people that AK recommend - or anybody on here recommends, as I have heard some horror stories regarding props that have been made cheaply out of steel that is simply not strong enough and they twist like toffe under the acceleration. Also - after three attempts from the people we used the length was still not correct. Something also to watch out for - and to mention is that the bolts on the Jag diff go in from the gearbox side so the holes in the flange on the UJ on the prop need to clear the UJ to allow the bolts to go in.
