With stuff like this you never seem to get back what you put in unfortunately.

If I was in the market for a 300bhp-ish SBC turnkey I'd expect to pay around the £4k mark from the UK engine builders, would that be sensible?

What may effect the resale value of your motor is that fact it wasn't built by a professional builder (not to say you haven't done a good job of course) and it's used. It not been used a lot but it's still used.

Also Mike's point is a good one, why are you selling it? The answer to that is crucial for someone looking to buy a used engine. I nearly bought one last year and the answer was "I want more power". I want plenty of power myself so I avoided it.

All this said I hope you manage to recoup as much of your investment as possible. I personally hate losing money.
