Re: Failing the SVA

My car failed on a couple of small things which was a supprise as I fully expected it to be a lot more as I did not read the SVA guide lines.

First thing was the Indicators on the front, I knew that the standard position would not conform to the height regs so i put the stalk type on the car but also left the original ones on as well.
Of course they failed it because if you have a light on the car it has to be working and if it works it would fail on the height, stupid or what.

Second item was the clock that I had fitted which failed on protusion of more than 9.5mm.

Both these items could have been removed on sight in about 5 mins but this was not allowed and therfore rebook had to take place.

money for the boys I think.

Anyway all done now and enjoying loads.

I think the secret is not to worry about it to much and go with the attitude of its going to fail.
