We have a fuel injected ford v6 engine with a nearly new external bosch xr4i pump.
The pump has worked fine during the build, test and first 100m run. After the second 100m run the pump has siezed, we stripped the pump apart and reassembled, but now it has no pressure (no leaks tho).So a new pump is needed.
Do people put a filter between the tank outlet and pump inlet (if so what type and supplier)?
Do these pumps need a pressure regulator between the pump outlet and copper fuel rail?
Can you suggest a supplier for a reasonably priced new pump?
