Hi Paul,
The problem seems to be that I would have to take all my paperwork to the next nearest DVLA office (Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen) having first picked it up from Dundee where they kept it all, and present the paperwork there. Assuming they can inspect my car I would have to make an appointment and return at a later date to have my car inspected, a journey of at least 200 miles for a 5 minute test! My point is if I could phone these offices to book a test everything would be a lot easier. (For me anyway!)
