[Cobra power]

Hi all,

Last item on SVA failure list: noise level. I have side pipes from shiny bitz, they have already been back to Roger on the first failure, he prepared them for low noise. Run 400hp SBC.

At retest: left 103.9db right 101.9db (unclear what causes the difference). Measured at 3225rpm (max power stated at 4300rpm). If I understand the difference this might help reducing the left enough. Any ideas?

I have outsourced the whole procedure to a kit car workshop because I live in the Netherlands.

Just got an email how I want to proceed. My problem:
- quoted max power RPM's seem high, but nothing i can change right now
- roger (shiny bitz) tells me he has restricted the sidepipes as far as possible and cannot believe the pipes are this loud
- kitcar workshop can stuff the pipes some more but expect that this will not reduce the noice enough wihtout choking the engine

So now it's up to me! Change timing? Change mixture? What causes the difference?
