Hi Ben,
I've got some 5mm steel pop rivets that you can have for nowt. They are a right bastard to fire off with a pop rivet gun! (I think that they are about 10mm long)
There not stainless but I'm sure that they'll remain shiny as long as you polish them every now and then.
