Seconded. The standard pilgrim fan switch was/is 82/64 Ie It comes on at 82 degrees and goes off at 64 degrees. MUCH too low

Hence why the fans stay on
On the front grill issue, Yes the expanded ally mesh does restrict upto 60% of airflow due to the opposing angles of the mesh! Better in my opinion to fit a 1/4" Weldmesh screen just in front of the rad
