It does have a lower drain plug. There is a GKN logo cast in the case and the word DANA and some numbers.
I would recomend changing the output shaft bolts as the wrong ones were sold to me when I replaced them. It should have the bolts that press into the output shaft but the ones fitted are lacking the larger diameter under the head so they rattle about a bit.
I could change these if needed as I have a fly press in the garage so getting them apart is no problem and I could just charge you the cost of the 8 bolts from the local jag dealer and maybe £20 for my time.:thumb:

The original cast aluminium rear cover was removed and fitted to my new diff so it only has the pressed steel one on there with a broken elbow on the breather tube.
That apart the diff itself is absolutely fine and sounded quiet and smooth over the 250 miles I did with it.
