Hi Joppe and welcome to the forum:thumb:

On my chevy 350 I fitted an oil cooler system so I mounted the temp sensor in the line between the oil pump outlet and the oil termostat. If you do not have an oil cooler fitted then I think the only place is in the sump pan.
Either replace the drain plug with a sensor or have an additional threaded boss welded on.
