After the expense of buying my engine i was kind of limited with how much i could progress with the build but i got some mirrored stainless steel panels CNC waterjet cut and then put them in (spent a fortune on Stainless rivets too because apparently aluminium ones will eventually form a cell and erode right through the stainless ) Btw, if you don't have an air rivet gun, ask santa for one, its my favorite tool in the shed.

Then a big thankyou to Bogster who came down and gave me a hand aligning the body for fitting. I had a bit of problem with the pipes which secure the scuttle hoop being in the wrong position and had to get a customer to come and gas weld new pipes on (had to use gas welding because i dont have mains power and my generator sucks). OH IT GETS WORSE MUCH WORSE!!!!! ------> Customer came up to the shed at the farm my sister owns to weld on the new pipes....and didn't have the right size of nozzle for the welder (which wasn't a big deal), so we started to clear up and head off..... by this time its now 9pm pitch black, bloody freezing and chucking it down..... as we put down the roller shutter a car pulls up outside the gate and the woman driving said "just thought i better let you know your ponies are out on the road". It din't quite register, what was this nutcase talking about!!! then the penny dropped. Although my sister moved down south 4 years ago and sold all her horses she had been renting out the field and somehow the little $h!+s had escaped!! I managed to shoo one back into the field and got another in a headlock and drag it into the field as it tried to bite my leg. The other 3 seeing the commotion legged it up into the darkness and disappeared. I was informed by some kids that the ponies had ran into the local village, through someones garden, through a fence and into their field with thier foal! So i now found myself at 11pm in the biggest field known to man, in the dark, with the rain pi$h!ng down, covered in mud looking for 3 fugitive ponies (which were black) with only the assistance of 3 eight year olds and a Sponge Bob squarepants torch. IT GETS WORSE ----> the farmer who owned the field started yelling lots of things at me and wasn't too impressed that 3 potential stallions might be in the same field as his year old mare pony, also i would have to pay for a new fence and get the vet down to his farm in the morning to give his horse the equivalent of the horsey morning after pill (and i'm not talking for headaches) . Anyway, lots of appologising and a bunch of flowers and bottle of wine later everything sorted itself out and no more was said.

Anyway, now have brakes installed, engine harness routed, bonnet located, lights installed, steering installed and doors on

It finally starts to look like a car rather than a bathtub

Madness! :drive: And thats only with three horses. Wait until you get 400 odd under the bonnet to control!! :thumb:
