Keeping things in a nice perspective.

I recently bought a seven-type R1 powered track car, going halves with a friend to have a toy until the cobra is built. It is very quick and quite frightening in a nice way! Coming in at about 155 bhp and weighing 505kg wet, probably not that much torque. I worked it out as having slightly more power to weight (c307) than a new Porsche turbo (299).
Anyway, checking probable output from the Chevy 383 I built and weight of a Ram, computerdyno-thingy shows 462bhp and 1150kg ish. Result: power to weight (c400) waaaay higher than the seven or a puny Porsche turbo!

The point is: ******g h*** how mad are these Cobra kits, I must have been insane opting for an engine like that and have definitely been visiting this site too often.

So thankyou very much to you all for being a bad influence and for having such an insane effect on my judgement. It has spurred me on to get the build finished.
