It's just the front ones you need to watch out for, as the rear are coil over shocks which get removed as a whole unit [so no need to cut them]
Its defiantly worth getting the picky
sorry scrap yard to cut them, even if they charge you, as they are a nightmare to get off.
Just one more thing to watch out for, make sure they are giving you the right ratio diff as some yards don't bother checking
