| Re: max rev setting chevy350 Not what you wanted to hear, but is it bog srandard or beefed up. If its bog standard you should be limiting it to around 5500 RPM occasional. If it is balanced and had decent fixings then 5750 should be your limit. If you are using aftermarket uprated rods etc then depending on the product, safe rev limits vary, but most decent aftermarket (NOT BRAND REPLACEMENT AS STANDARD) will see 6000 RPM again as long as you have decent fixings, cxarried out stress relief and had the rotating assembly professionaly balanced.
Even if you have an engine thats components can take high RPM remember your Flywheel quality comes into play at anything above 6000 RPM (if you want to keep your legs).
