Tony if you are taking the tank out, could you not get a pump and swirl pot ( complete unit ) from a BMW and get the tank cut open and fit it in the tank. This is what I have and no problems so far. The idea of a swirl pot is the return line returns the fuel to the tank in this causing the fuel to swirl in it this has the effect of actually holding the fuel in the pot when the level is dropping so when cornering it reduces the risk of the pump sucking air. The reason for this is these pumps burn out very quickly due to the high pressure they work at if they try to pump air. HTH
