| Well the clouds looked high enough when we set off to Goodwood but it wasn`t too long before the rain spots started and by the time we arrived at the South Downs it was quite heavy with plenty of surface water.
2 open topped cobs ,Lotus Esprit and a 7 arrived in convoy and the marshalls felt obliged to direct us under the tunnel to the covered pits for shelter.
The hoods went on for the early return journey !! Even so it was a good drive out. Thanks to Nick Guild and Tony for the tour through the back lanes.
