They should set up the analysis equipment first to get an idea of hydrocarbons, CO2 etc and set the carb accordingly. Given you don't have other issues, this should take about 10-15 minutes. Then they should do a power run for baseline, followed by multiple runs with increasing ignition advance until bhp peaks and/or pinking/detonation occurs. You will then have optimum settings. Don't worry about detonation as the rolling road control hold rpm in a way that is difficult to replicate in road conditions. Multiple power runs to set ignition should not take much more than an hour.
