There's nothing stopping you however from then removing side repeaters once SVA is passed, although I would make sure that the indicators that you have fitted on the front and rear of the car are easily seen from the side also.
The favourite method of blanking the side indicator hole is to cover the hole with either a "427" or a "Powered by Ford" badge. As I couldn't find any "Powered by BMW" badges for my last build or even any "Powered by Lexus"  for the current builds I'm using some attractive stainless steel mesh with the side indicators fitted, inserted into the side grille openings.
Once SVA is passed remove side mesh and replace with the standard s/s grilles.
Please remember that replacing the side repeaters with anything emitting any form of blue light ( ie Halfrauds go faster gear) similar to anything seen in Fast and Furious 1, 2 or 3 will lead to ridicule and possibly a good slapping. Angel Eye headlights, for example, are only barely condoned.
