Russ the SRV8 is a very solid car so if you get to go out in listen for rattles and squeaks, other than that look at the overall build quality, has it been lashed together or has someone taken the time and trouble to do it right etc etc.
Most important of all though is, has it been properly registered ie does it say Southern Roadcraft or SRV8 on the log book, tax disc etc, if it doesnt its probably best to walk away, as its so much grief it really isnt worth it.
If you met some of the guys at the meet the other day try seeing if any of them can come with you to cast their 'expert' eye over the car etc.
Dont just buy with your heart, but with your head as well, it took me 6 months to find my car and I fell in love with a couple along the way but thanks to a good mate who had a cob, I didnt end up wasting my money and eventually found the right car.
The SRV8 can be a bit tight for larger people and also for taller people ie over 5'-10" may be a problem if it hasnt had the later extended footwells installed.
Go and look at it, get taken for a drive in it, crawl all over and under it, take someone with you as well, dont decide there and then, go home think about it, ask all those stupid questions on here, then make a decision.
