Id like to bet the SVA people view their test much like the MOT in this regard; its certifying that the vehicle complied on the day of test; read the back of an MOT certificate and youll see what I mean. Government agencies like VOSA and the DVLA might play dim, but they know exactly what's going on!!

As long as you make it clear to the insurer that its a kit car, and its a non std spec, then theres very little for them to wriggle on IMHO; Id be more inclined to be worried about the way your broker has defined the vehicle and ts risk; far more loopholes there.
Im sure the halfordshotrodded Nova boys (and girls) have more of a potential problem with this, but it does pay to be upfront with the insurers; if you lie about anything to them you may as well not be insured.
