Years ago I had a bike petrol tank that for one reason or another was full of swarf, I got some resin type stuff that I poured into the tank to seal holes to stop all the crap blocking the filter.
The resin was suposed to be 'special' but it just smelt like normal polyester fibreglass resin to me.
The tank has to be bone dry on the inside for the stuff to work and it can take a couple of days to fully harden.
