I used Birmingham for mine also, very fair and sensible. It would be an idea to book the car in for a pre mot/ mot check prior to SVA so you can bed the brakes in, check headlight alignment, etc.

Make sure the yank supplied safety critical components such as glass, seat belts, tyres etc have the correct EU approved mark on them, as they will be scrutinised and also check the radius on locks, interior and side mirrors etc. The car will quite rightly sail through all the engineering hurdles, its only likely to fail on a missing E mark or an incorrect radius.
