Paul,

I'm not trying to be a pain but you will have to play the SVA game when it comes to test time. I don't think the Kirkham marketing machine has reached the Brum SVA testing centre yet.

As an example if the windscreen does not have the Britsh Standard marking, or a ECE E11 marking or an EEC E11 marking you will have to prove that "it conforms to to any national or international standard" equivalent to the E11, or it has to be "one of the standards listed on the Annex on Non European standards and bear the relevant marking supplied by the manufacturer".

Is your winsdcreen specs listed on the Annex and is your windscreen marked as such?

The same principle will go for quite a few of the components you have on the car.

It would a crying shame if your car didn't pass first time as it should just because of a simple lack of listed specification. I suppose this is the part of the buying process that Hawk manages and thereby claims their margin.

Cheers,

Tony
