| I have looked at many GDs and have seen very few scoops, less than 3!!, that look really neat and tidy. I cut mine out shortly after getting my shell about 5 years ago and have been wondering what to do about it ever since. It's an evil thing that to my inexperienced eye could have been bonded at that point during manufacture. Once you cut out the double skin there is nothing to hold the two skins together and I can't see how you can pop a bit of Gell in the gaps and hope it holds the skins together bearing in mind the vibration. I did think at one stage about putting some expanding foam filler in the void and hope that would bond things together before using some Gel but was worried it might have the opposite effect and force the skins apart. Being pretty hopeless with the GRP I would happily pay to get it sorted properly. Any takers???
