| I dunno if its any help, But I just cut the bonnet for the mk4 and used some black polyurethane-based sealant in the gap to about 15mm inside from the lip all the way round the cut. Seems to have bonded well. Used a whole tube though.
Nothing stopping you sanding this flat and applying coloured gel over the top on the sealed edge?
Cant comment on the scoop for the mk3 though.
