| It would be reasonable to have a "None of the above" box on the political ballot paper. Then we could use our vote, and, at the same time let it be known that none of them are good enough to represent us, if that's how you feel.
You shouldn't have to use your vote to select the 'least worst' of a bunch of loonies. I've been too close to politicians for the last umpteen years to trust any of them. You know they are lying when you see their lips moving.
I would prefer a town run by a 'competent management set up' and avoiding all politicians. We could vote for a reinstatement of the current manager, or could vote for a different one. At all times we would avoid the back-biting, point scoring, politically correct ego trips of local politicians - who always seem to forget why they are there (until the next election).
I hear that in Florida (don't know about the rest of the states) if "none of the above" should win an election then the 'other' candidates are formally barred from public office - they been voted off.
