| RE: Kit Car magazine - rant Paul,
I think you’ve misunderstood part of what I’ve said. I most certainly am not calling customers names in relation to my stupid spelling mistake. I deserve to be subject to P155 taking on the point. My point was that whether I spelt it right or not, it did the job. I am indeed laughing all the way to the bank because I’ve conveyed the point that Kit Car is bigger, better and therefore the best option for both advertisers and readers.
Those I was referring to as ‘idiots’ are those who’ve vilified me for basically telling them the truth. In effect, many have said that I’m as bad as Fib’s because I’ve described him as he is. I find that difficult to comprehend and have concluded that it’s their problem, not mine.
I understand that customers can glean much information form both magazines. My point is that one is much smaller and therefore poorer value AND it contains a lot of deliberately distorted material. The problem with a magazine that deliberately publishes lies is that you never know which is truth and which is lies. The value is therefore like that of a chocolate tea-pot IF you need advice regarding what to buy. Such revelation has caused some customers to question the value of reading both.
I fully accept that you’re not persuaded and that’s fine by me. I guess that’s because you’ve moved beyond the buying phase into the technical phase. However I can assure you, from speaking to those effected, that biased and misleading features concerning Razer, AF Sports and Python puts my warnings into an altogether different perspective.
I do find it very hard to understand why calling a spade a spade should be so controversial. I don’t have any problem with anybody having a laugh at my spelling.
Den.
