It could be in the inlet manifold but this will only be the water temp gauge. Oil pressure and oil warning light are normally on a Tee piece on the back of the block behind the distributor.

Oil temp sender will be in the oil filter area, In the oil cooling lines or in the side of the sump.

Excellent info... just what I was after. Thanks Craig.

Location of water temp sender between 1 and 3 plugs probably explains why my temp gauge isn't working... the sender is very, very close to the header pipes! Will have to remediate and wrap with heat-reflecting tape.
