Im not sure, but the bottom column has 'bellows'. Is that the collapsible part, if it is then i will need to use that one.
or is it the extension part that is 'collapsible'.
I spent alot of time shaping the cowling to fit the dash which will have been in vain if i need to use the other column.

Just to add a little more to Tinka's comments. The bottom of the triangular shaft that extends from the base of the steering column then fits onto an intermediate shaft which in turn connects to the steering rack. Now, the problem is, if left unmodified, there will be a gap between the bottom of the triangular section and the top of the shaft that connets to the steering rack. Most people would say that the solution would be to get an extended lower shaft from the rack to the base of the steering column. This is solution 1.
What i did was to connected an extra short collapasable section between these two shafts. This short extra piece was from a sierria, (an XR4I i think). Doing this does make the lower section rather wobbly, but so long as this portion is securely supported, then it will get through the SVA. Mine Did. Although Mr SVA man looked at it, he didn't say that there was anything wrong with it.
