I have been calling the list of Insurance companies today and determining which ones will cover on a chassis number and for how long before a registration number is obtained. This varies a lot !

However so do the quotes dependent on the answer to the engine cc question.

I have a 5.7 chevy , stroked with 200cc heads so I answer 6.1 when asked the question.

If I say 5.7 I get a much lesser quote than when I say 6.1.

I am not even considering giving a false answer to the question and potentially invalidating any cover I may purchase, however have others experienced this ?

The difference between the 5.7 answer and the 6.1 answer is about 20% on the premium ?
