Hi Marty,thanks for the reply.

Tony has confirmed that the LT77 gearbox (standard R/3 gearbox) has a built in unit for an electronic speedo, it would make sense to utilise this,and eliminate the work and risk of adding an additional sensor.

I've seen the setup you mention and I'm sure it works just fine.
