Hi Stan.
That is BIG No No.
If they suspect you have done a "Paperwork engine swap" your application will be thrown out. This used to be a popular trick for the bike engines super 7 guys who wanted to get a late model bike engine through SVA without it having to pass a car cat emissions test.....900cc Sierras for example!!!
If the engine does not have the same capacity or look like a Jag (in this instance) engine when you turn up for the test (If you even get that far) there is a very good chance you will be sent home with a "Refusal to test" letter.

Bending the rules is a thing of the past nowadays, the techincal department at VOSA are much more clued up these days.
