No wonder the old mounts broke before.
I'm surprised actually that you got the mounts to fit before? On the Land Rovers they have a vertical slot in the chassis because as you lift the engine up or lower it down, the studs move up vertically and not at the same angle as the threads. This means a simple hole would require the mounts to be bent into position during fitting.
