Martin,
I would use 75/90 full synthetic oil the type I use in mine is Mobil I , I would'nt use ATF it was only used to help cold gear selection, and exagerates wear on the bearings, the filler plug is near the tail of the gearbox and is also a level plug so just fill it until it runs out.
