Hants/West Sussex monthly Meet.

As is usual I re-produce Peter's E-mail to us all.
Regards Frank.
Dear All

I hope this email finds you in good form. It is only to remind members that we meet at Goodwood this sunday for those of us still left in the country. As it was so well received on our first visit, I have managed to book "The Wilkes Head" in Eastergate for our pub lunch. We have 20 places inside the restaurant and unlimited seating in the garden area which proved popular last time. I hope as many of you can come as possible.

I think the Ardingley show went well (I certainly enjoyed it) and our team put on a good display, well done everyone for giving up your time to promote the club. I think it was well worthwhile doing, thank you.

August is always a busy month but I think the following are worth a mention. Just a reminder that the Goodwood Breakfast Club on Aug 3rd is "Thoroughbred Sunday - The Quintessential pre 1980 Sportscars and as it's soft top cars and my birthday it's bound to rain that day. On 10th Aug the Essex mob and many others are convoying to the Imperial Air Museum at Duxford for the "Car Club Day" a discounted entry for CRC members is offered and it's not a bad day out. Looking forward to August 24/25th please remember the car show "Hampshire Pageant of Motoring" at the Broadlands Estate, Romsey which we are sharing a club stand with the Wessex CRC meet over the two days. I think you can still book a space on the display site, contact me or Steve Young for details, don't leave it too late.

A bit early, I know, but
bit early, I know, but we have booked the "Nags Head" in Chichester for our Area Christmas dinner on Saturday 6th December. It's at 7pm but arrive at 6.30 and get your drinks sorted. I have booked a table of 45 (it was oversubscribed last year) so when I send you the invite notice and menu, get a grip and book your place or you might miss out. The "Obergruntenfurher" will do the paperwork like last year and collect deposits. Unlike last year we will not have people ordering extras like coffee after the meals have been paid for and then sloping off and not paying for them. They expect a tip also. Mine would be not to work at Christmas as its a very busy time!

Haven't decided on the August meet yet (for those not going to Broadlands) but open to suggestions, any ideas? I have been following Terry and Paul Lifton's progress on their eurotrip via the "ether" and it won't be long before they come home, perhaps we will use a monthly meet to book a skittles event at "The Barley Mow" at Walderton when they are back home. Keep well, hope to see as many as possible on sunday, Pete.
