Unless someone on here has an IVA compliant set fitted they intend to change and a deal can be done, I don’t fancy splashing out on another set of new seat unless I can help it.

Not too much you can do - the seats compliance for IVA is quite clear. headrests are a must, no question there.
I understood that only if the seats are fixed, that is non adjustable, can you get away with pads fixed to the roll bars. Anything else the headrest must move with the seat.
I am sure none of our members would condone swapping IVA compliant parts for non compliant parts after passing IVA !!! That surely is not correct - but perhaps there is someone out there with compliant seats who may loan them to you so you can see what the installation should look like ??
