| RE: ENGINE NUMBER Hi all thanks for the advice iv still got my back against the wall though.
Contacted the heitage society and they are unable to help me as the engine is out of a commertial vehicle. Ldv still cant help as they need a reg number which i havent got.
Spoke to the sva people and they cant help. All they will say is the problem is mine and it will require a cat test if i dont supply it.
My last chance is rover who are sending a form out from which i can request details of engine manufacture, but they did say that since it was a supply to another company they may not hold that info so ill just have to keep my fingers crossed.
My test is only a few weeks away so if anyone has anymore thoughts or information i would be most greatfull.
All this to fall at the last hurdle

On a lighter note i had it out for its first blast yesterday. A freind lent me some trade plates so i couldnt resist it. I did over 100 miles then disaster. I came down a hill rather fast and bottomed it out at the bottom, drove the 4 miles home and as i was pulling on the drive noticed the oil presure had fallen to 15 psi. It had lost its sump plug and spilt its guts all over the deck. Boy was i lucky i didnt have any further to go or it might have ment a new engine.
Iv spent most of last night pulling flys out my teeth, it does get a bit windy at over 110mph.
