| Remote oil filter & cooler routing
Guys,
I am just sorting out a badly fitted remote oil filter and cooler system on my car, mainly because one of the oil line fittings was hard up against the chassis ! You cant trust anyone but your own work it seems!
I am also now concerned that it is not plumbed correctly.
Basically my question is, which way should the oil run through the filter. From the centre out or from the outer to the centre?
I have a take off adapter with 'in' written on the hole in the centre and 'out' on the off set hole. I then have a remote oil filter which has one inward facing arrow suggesting the flow presumably. They have plumbed the 'in' line to the inward flow side of the filter which seems wrong.
If someone can tell me which way oil should flow through a filter I should be able to work out the rest.
