Malc, not sure if I am understanding you correctly or not, but if you have put on the body again for the first time since fitting the engine which is why the wheels look like they are too far up into the arch. All you need to do is raise the car up on the shocks. This will not do anything for the clearance of the air filter but the car will look right.As far as what height it should be well that is all down to how you want it to look, bearing in mind that you might have to raise it when you go for an SVA any way.
