OK, that's fitted. Didn't realise (until I read the build manual) that the bolts on the back of the number plate light are too short. Used some big old M6 bolts I had lying around - overkill maybe, but people mistake the light for the boot handle (I know I have on other people's cars...) so I'm sure it won't hurt.

Bit peeved about the fixing screw - I remember reading that it was an item that SVA might have a problem with, but wondered why. Now I see... someone had thoughtfully included a dome headed slotted screw, but that isn't long enough and isn't a metric fitting, so I've had to temporarily put the "dangerous" hex head back in - be careful, it could take your arm off...

I cut the wire leading to the number plate light so I can remove th boot if needs be - I wired in two spade terminals and appropriate receptacles. Only just remembered to use male/female the different way round on live and earth so it can only be connected one way...
