Hi Ben.
1.This depends what engine you are using, but if you are using a Chevy and are mounting the battery above the rear axle what i usually do is cable tie the battery cable to the inner O/S roll bar post (If you have one) and leave the end of it standing proud of the post by about 3 inches then run the cable down the backbone brace bar towards the engine mount and cut it off about 2 inches short of touching the engine mount on the chassis and terminate at that.

2.The stainless cover for the front X member is available from Dax for about £15 or so, i drill out the rivets in the VIN plate, fit the stainless and then drill through the stainless and re-attach the VIN plate on top of the stainless.....................Usually!

Yes i can get bodies cheaper...........................But i'm not allowed to sell them on unless they are part of a complete car....Sorry M8!
