I have used standard SD1 engine mounts and I agree the rad is lower than the engine, however, the highest point on my set-up is the thermostat housing outlet to the top hose - mine is ally and I cut and welded it to give a "flatter" outlet - this is where my vent comes from. I havn't checked this (I will now!) but I'm fairly sure that if I take a level line from the vent point forward then there is not enough height to fit a forward mounted header tank under the bonnet. I purchased a Dax header tank - cheaper than AK! - and fitted it to the bulkhead - I'll post an image tonight, if I'm sober for long enough
