Seeking wisdom on hood storage....

Having just fitted and glued said hood it doesn't seem to fold too easily for storage in the boot.

I am a new owner...and confused about whether I risk damaging the flimsy material between the two hood bows to fold the thing in half to squeeze it into boot.

Is there a better way of carrying the hood when touring? Should I just fold it?

The hood frame at least seems logical.....pull-it apart and it'll pack away nicely.


While I have your ear......what is the best method for fixing the studs on the straps that link the hood frame and roll-bar. Will a long length rivet not make a mess of the stud...?

I scoured the (new) build manual for clues.....it doesn't even mention the straps!
